Fate

A heavy snow came down and blocked the way from here to there.
Everyone wondered, “Where else was I meant to go, who else I was meant to see?”
The answer was “here,” the person was “me”.

Remember: everything happens for a reason.

A spilled coffee and an unforeseen traffic jam, now accidently 20 minutes late:
What if I left on time? Where else would I be?
Perhaps that ambulance rushing by would be for me.

Be careful about things you can change and heed the things you cannot;
Everything happens for a reason.

  1. love this poem! I think about that kind of stuff all the time (the spilled coffee, leaving late, and what would have happened if I didn’t)
